My name is Talamas Pierrelus, the founder of the Aider Haiti foundation. I am from Pendus, north central mountains of Haiti. Before the earthquake Pendus was already in a disastrous situation, after the earthquake it deteriorated. The  community needs a lot help in terms of education, healthcare, and sanitation. As a Haitian, who grew up in Pendus, I know first hand, how difficult it can be to acquire the hygiene materials that any human being needs; needless to say food, clothing and an education. The United States has been a beacon of opportunity for many people including myself; now I feel that it is necessary for me to do something for the people of Pendus. Pendus is barely known by the government officials, they are isolated and our help is truly needed. I am asking you to join me, to help make a difference in the lives of the children living in Pendus. Any little bit helps.
